Fernest “Pacman” Martin has proudly served in law enforcement for 32 years, beginning his career in 1994. Before being elected Jeanerette City Marshal (Ward 3) in 2009, he served as a Lieutenant with the Jeanerette Police Department, where he demonstrated a strong commitment to public safety and community policing.
Marshal Martin attended McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He currently serves as the National President of the National Constables and Marshals Association, representing marshals and constables across the United States while promoting professionalism, leadership, and excellence in law enforcement.
Throughout his career, Marshal Martin has remained dedicated to protecting the community with integrity, professionalism, accountability, and compassionate service. His leadership is guided by a belief that public trust is earned through action, respect, and a genuine commitment to those he serves.
